Hey formula moms! I have a question for you, I feed Milly 5 ounces of formula and then 2.5 hours later she is crying and acting hungry. Shouldn't she be able to go at least 3 hours between feedings? Or am I not feeding her enough? When I try to give her 6 ounces she will drink it all but then throw 3 or more ounces of it up! Help!!
Thanks!

If she's still hungry feed her!! I had the same question for my pediatrician. She may be going through a growth spurt. When Connor hit his 2-3 month growth spurt he was drinking 6-8 oz almost every hour!! No kidding! It'll eventually taper off. As for the spit up- try Enfamil AR Release for Spit-up (it comes in an orange can) an it works miracles!! Connor hardly ever spitup after we started using it!

I'm still nursing Hadley, but she does basically the same thing. She will sometimes be hungry an hour after she ate. I know some moms won't feed their baby more than every 2 hours, but I figure, if she's hungry, she should eat... I think it happens when she is going through a growth spurt.

I would just feed her if she acts hungry! Trax drinks 6 oz right now but he also has baby food too so I would just say experiment with it! If the spit up thing is happening every feeding you may have to put her on a formula for babies that spit up frequently! When Trax was at her age sometimes he would be hungry every 1.5 to 2 hours so it just depends on the baby! Maybe just try doing 4 ounces every 2 hours or something and see how that works! ???
