This is what happened... Milly got sick, then I got sick, now Brady is sick. Brady has a nasty cough so we are trying to keep him away from Milly which means that I have taken over the night shift with Milly. And since as I said before Milly has been sick with her nasty cough and stuffy nose she will not sleep a full night with out waking up at least once. Well last night was the second night of Brady and I going to sleep at 2 in the morning trying to make sure he is comfortable and isn't going to be coughing. (our walls are paper thin and he has one of the LOUDEST coughs I've ever heard!) Well the first night Milly didn't wake up till 6 and then slept till 9 and I really don't want Milly to get more sick so I got up with her. Tried to wake myself up by working out and then vacuumed the whole apartment. Then my mom called and her and I run around town till 4 and then I went grocery shopping and didn't get done with that till 7 so I was running all day! Didn't have a minute to sit and rest! So then last night I fall asleep at 2, Brady is sleeping in bed with me and at 3 he wakes up with a major cough attack and goes out onto the couch, 4 Milly wakes up. I try rocking her she goes back to sleep as soon as I lay her back down she wakes right back up so I go make her a bottle and she goes back to sleep. 45 minutes later she is crying again. So I go put her binky in and she falls back asleep till 6 then she wakes up again!!! I make a bottle cuz I'm too delirious to realize that it's only been 2 hours since she had her last bottle. She goes back to sleep. Wakes back up at 8:30 and is up for the day... I'M EXHAUSTED!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even keep my eyes open for the 16 seconds it takes to warm up her bottle. I can't take it anymore so I leave her with Brady and he takes care of her till he leaves for work at 10:45 she is alseep when he leaves so I keep sleeping. 11 rolls around and she's up. I get her out of bed and go in the living room to let her play with her toy but she doesn't want to. She wants to crawl all over me and stand up on everything and then cries cuz she can't stand up all the way. I am out of patients. I give her a bottle, she downs it but as soon as it's gone she throws it and starts crying again. Maybe she's tired. I try rocking her. She falls asleep and as soon as I sit down with her in the rocking chair she pops her eyes open and starts SCREAMING bloody murder! I've had it by now. I set her in her crib, and walk out and close the door behind me. I call my mom in a desperate attempt to have her baby sit for an hour or so. She is coming! YAY! Brady walks in. Gets Milly out of her crib. Bounces her for 2 minutes. SHE'S OUT! He decides to stay home and help me for a couple hours. Ahhhhh heaven sent I tell you... I love that man! I am now showered, dressed with MAKEUP ON!!! (and it's fresh make up, not day old make up!!) What would I do with out my husband?! I love how he just knows exactly what I need when I need it!
I'm hoping I'm not the only Mom that has ever had a day like this... Days like today make me wish there were 4 of me. One to watch Milly, One to catch up on my missing sleep, One to do the dish and one to do the laundry...
Oh a funny convo Milly and I had just barely.
She's playing and rolls onto her back and starts fussing and whining so I walk over to her and ask her
"Did you forget how to roll over?"
Milly smiles with her binky in her mouth then spits it out and says "eeda eddao doda da!!" with a big smile on her face like I understood what she was saying.
Then I say "did you forget how to crawl?"
She smiles and starts laughing then with a scowl and in a serious low baby voice she say's "dada dada dada"
