sickness has hit! and a baby born!

This Video was taken the day that my brother has his baby! She loves baby Ruby!
On Thursday Milly woke up in a really bad mood and was so cranky all day. By the end of the day I could tell she was getting sick. The next morning I woke up with a sore throat. Boo honestly I think mothers should never be allowed to get sick! Thankfully I have an amazing hubs and he stayed home from work on Friday and Saturday to help me with the little one while I tried to fight this sickness as well. This post is mostly just to brag about my awesome husband! He was so sweet and helpful the whole weekend. Doing laundry, dinner, dishes, changing all the diapers all weekend. Taking Milly on walks to get her out of this tiny hotel room. He even took her swimming twice on friday and saturday. I didn't lift a finger all weekend. And I didn't even ask him to do any of this. He did it all out of the goodness of his big heart! We are praying and crossing our fingers that he doesn't get this cold/cough that Milly and I have. Other then this sickness we are doing really good out here in VA. The weather is so perfect! Not the biggest fan of humidity only because my hair never keeps a style, so it's ponytails and messy buns everyday! Brady is doing really well with sells. My Brother and SIL Whit just had there baby a couple days ago. They named her Ruby Mae! She is sooo adorable! I can not wait to hold her and love on her!! We are oh so very happy for Drew and Whit! They have been through some very hard things in the last few years and we are so thankful to see them so happy and also for them to have a healthy happy baby and mama! They are already the best parents!!
Baby Ruby just a few hours old.

My crazy little Milly

Milly is almost 22 months old. I can't believe that is two months she will be 2!!!!!!!!!!! She is growing up so fast!!! I want to do a little update on her.
Here are some fun things about my little monster.
-makes a great crazy face!!!
-LOVES movies, a little too much some days! Her fav's are Cars, Rio, how to train your train, and ponyo.
-loves to run and will race down any long hallway
-loves shoes, toothbrushes, and sunglasses
-is a great little swimmer, we go swimming almost everyday!!
-thinkings wrestling is sooo funny. She does this fake laugh when she wrestle hehehe hahaha hehehe hahaha sounds just like that.
-will try to say almost any word we tell her to say. Sometime you can understand it most times she only says the last part of the word. Love you = you, have a good day =day, ok mom = mom some phrases she is really good at saying are thank you, please, your welcome, nice, NO, ok, airplane, car, train, stop it, crying and she sings some of the lyrics to Nikki minaj's song starships. It is soo cute! I new to get a video of her doing it.
-she is a very picky eater
-doesn't nap in her crib anymore, she will only fall asleep if she is on a walk in the stroller or a ride in the car.
-loves daddy and screams with excitement when he comes home!!
-loves her blanket and her B's (her minke animal)
-thinks earrings are sooo cool! Especially mommies dangly ones.
-is an awesome dancer
-tries to sing the ABC's
-loves her nana and ahma(grandma) and papa and all her cousins. She gets soo excited to see them!
I love this little girl! She tests my patience everyday but I wouldn't trade being this little ladies mother for anything!!

Love her cheesy grin!!

Goodbye Facebook

Well I finally did it! I have been wanting to delete my Facebook for a few months now for quite a few reasons: I spent WAY too much time on it wasting soo much of my time that I could be giving to my precious family! I also didn't really love that it was the same FB that I had back in high school (pics of ex's not cool) I was also feeling slightly judged. Therefore it has been deleted! And can I just say, IT FEELS SO GOOD! I am spending more time playing with Milly in my down time and I also am finding other ways to entertain myself! Swimming, playing ball and going on walks have been Milly's favorites. I still have my instagram but I am going ultra private with it. Mostly family. Please please don't be offended if you don't have access to that. It's a personal choose and I hope it can be respected. In replacement of FB and insta I am going to be working on this blog. Trying to record the memories of our family! Milly is so young and we are having so many fun adventures and I feel like a lot of the good that we have in our life doesn't get recognized the way it should. My goal with this change is to record the fun and exciting things our family does and sometimes even the boring and hard things we deal with. We are not a perfect family and we have bad days but we are always trying to make the best out of every situation we are in! ANYWAYS I am going on for way to long! If you read this or don't that's great! I am just excited to be starting a change! Enjoy!!

Virginia is for lovers

Headed to the pool only to have the pool close 5 minutes after we got there because of the weather

So this is what we did instead. Swimming in the bath tub! Total hit!

Sleeping on Daddy during our 5 hour layover

Watching a movie during our 5 hour layover

Right before we left for the airport! She was so excited to go on an airplane!
well call us crazy! We decided to go out and sell again for the remainder of this summer. So at a weeks notice we packed up and flew out to Fairfax, VA. It's about 30 minutes from Washington DC. We are super excited, we think this will be a really fun adventure! Neither of us have been to DC since we were both about 12 years old. We are living in a extended stay. When Brady first told me this I thought oh this is not going to be fun. 1 bedroom + a very sensitive sleeping 2 year old = absolute insanity! But so far I have been pleasantly surprised! Milly is sleeping in a pack and play in our room with us, but it has a door and the living room has a pull out bed if we need to use it. There are way too many perk to staying at an extended stay that make me think it will all be worth it in the long run. We have a free breakfast every morning and dinner 3 nights a week, free internet and cable, maid service will come every day if I want them too! A pool, and fitness center. plus I have a full kitchen minus an oven to cook in! and i might add the kitchen is fully stocked! The pro's to stay here far out way the bad. Milly is still adjusting to the time change, hopefully in the next few days she will get better adjusted to it. We are renting a car while we are out here. And we can only afford to rent one car so I am car-less from about 1 o'clock till about 10. that has been quite the challenge for me since before we left that was the only place Milly would nap. I'm pretty sure that her not napping is helping her adjust to the time change better tho because she is getting tired earlier. pros and cons. I wish i had more pictures!
